Some more recent installs do support installing from images, but that is only because the install script was updated to use some extra tools such as tw2adf to convert ipf to adf, and diskimage to mount it (available here https://aminet.net/package/disk/misc/diskimage). To be honest, if you really want to install from IPF, it is generally easier to do so in WinUAE, then copy the installation across to your real Amiga afterwards. Alternatively, use an ADF instead of IPF, and write that back to a real floppy on your Amiga, then install from that. |
