Summary | 0004425: [Moonstone] Add option to enable trainer
Description | There is a somewhat obscure reference in this slave pertaining to how to enable the trainer: "a cheat has been also added, anyway the game is not that hard and can be completed without, the word to activate the cheat is contained in this document..." Although I am completely at a loss as to what that word is, nor have any web searches or grep-ing in the slave files revealed it. I do not agree that the game "is not that hard" (currently it is impossible), and the "Danu" offering (strength) cheat at Stonehenge also does not work with this version - as it has been tried also. Please add this as a regular CUSTOM[x]=1 option so that non-experts of the game can experience it.

On the map type WEPL to get full equipment. This should be sufficient. |

Thank you for that Bert; I should have guessed it. :) Finally got around to trying it yesterday, and was able to complete this fantastic game (on 2nd try) without it seeming too easy (at least to me). It was shorter than I expected (didn't even know I had the full moonstone, as I only saw half before), but what a unique piece of work this game is. Again, really appreciate the hint and I certainly agree that this method would be sufficient. (There are definitely other much harder Amiga games which would benefit from full trainers, but this is not one of them) So the ticket can be closed. |
