Summary | 0003969: WHDLoad crash/freeze with cycle-to-menu patch installed
Description | I’ve just discovered that WHDLoad will crash on loading any game if you KEEP PRESSED cycle gadget during splash timeout: https://i.postimg.cc/x1LXs1qZ/20180922182524_1.jpg I use cycle-to-menu patch from MCP 1.48, but I guess it’s the same when using the same patch from other similar commodities/hack like VisualPrefs GUI etc.
Steps To Reproduce | - use MCP 1.48 Cycle-To-Menu option (or maybe also VisualPrefs) to extend cycle gadgets - run a WHDLoad game install, e.g. BC Kid - click on the cycle gadget and keep LMB pressed (see attached pic)
Additional Information | Not sure if it's just a MCP bug or also other hacks/patches doing the same thing can cause crashes…

Maybe a safer workaround could be added to WHDLoad before the initialization to avoid this dangerous situation in the case user was accidentally keeping pressed the cycle-gadget from splash window? |

I can reproduce this with MCP. I'm using http://aminet.net/package/util/cdity/CycleToMenu-21 which dosen't have this problem. I think this is not a problem of WHDLoad. Also I have no idea how this could be avoided with MCP. Please use CycleToMenu instead. |
