Summary0003240: There are timing issues during the intro, that make it impossible to read some
DescriptionGameVersion: english,pal,4 disks
SlaveVersion: version 1.4 (22.03.2003)

There are timing issues during the intro, that make it impossible to read some of the texts (they disappear too soon). It is especially apparent on the second text screen.
I have found this in the version history of the package:
version 1.2-B (10.03.2003) done by JOTD
- fixed install script. disk.1 was ripped too short -> intro problems
Sounds like it could be my problem (maybe) but again I am running 1.4.
Any ideas?
Cheers :)

disk too short is not related. It just crashes in that case.

What screen are you referring? When I start the game, the first intro screens are very fast because of ram/HD loading. but I suppose it's not that.

Hi,

Thanks for looking into this. I have just recorded a short video of the problem, on my real A1200:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JvCnrLsFG1k&feature=youtu.be

It starts on the title screen, where I press the mouse. This triggers the intro, which tells the story via text screens and animation.

The first text screen stays on long enough, so that you can read the text.

But all subsequent text screens are too fast, and don't allow you to read.

The animation themselves are fine.

Does this help?

Cheers!
