 can you attach whdload coredumps? At least the small .whdl_register file.
That would certainly help.

Also, do you have PRELOAD set or not?

 here it comes you can find it in attach files. It's not small because i guess i make coredumps 3 or 4 times.
Yes i have the preload, the game start with the music and intro and crash after the loading screen (before the main screen with 1 players,2 players etc..)

 I have the exact same problem with Speedball II. My Amiga setup is almost the same as guyome's. I noticed however, that, if the whdloadslave is installed using the SPS release of the Konami NTSC version of Speedball II, the game works (but of course, the speed is wrong running on a PAL machine). With all PAL releases the game crashes. I don't know if that helps in any way.

 Hi,

To run the Konami version you can always set NTSC tooltype and the game will be the same.
I'm not the coder of the floppy whdload install.

Have you tried CD32 (PAL) version?

 I did more testing and it turns out that every EU-version chrashes the same in PAL mode BUT when running EU-versions with NTSC tooltype they all work (but are too fast, of course). The Konami US version however doesn't crash at all. It also works with the PAL tooltype (but then it's too slow, of course). I don't have the CD32 version, sorry.

 Ok the CD32 Speedball 2 Edition only run with AGA chip and can't work on a A600..So i guess it work on A1200..

 Using the tooltypes "noautovec" and "noresint", the game doesn't crash and seems to work fine!

 in the Speedball2.info tooltypes.
Or maybe for your setup you should enable it globally in s:whdload.prefs

I think I mixed up PCMCIA with cf card. My vague recollection is: some non-standard hardware triggers interrupts from time to time and WHDLoad responds to it if the tooltype(s) are not set.
Read the whdload doc, you may read something similar.

For instance, in the main page (http://www.whdload.de/index.html) we can read:


    "some extra hardware creates at random interrupts which confuses the installed games/demo - so try Tooltype NoAutoVec, sometimes also the Tooltypes NoResInt and NoMMU may help"
    read the readme or other documentation supplied with the install, it often contains important information concerning the install, its using and its limitations
