Summary0002194: "Address error. Resload error"
DescriptionHaving trouble with that title. Tried with 3 accelerators (M-tec 1230 rtc, Apollo 1230 mk3, MB 1230XA) but does not work with more than 4 megs of ram. Tried with two mobos (2B and 1D4) and 2 different cf-cards as hd. And ofc different simms. Always crashes with "Address error. Resload error", when the title screen appears. Sometimes I actually get to play for a few minutes and then again "resload error". Tried 3 different versions of the game and two latest whdload versions. I *do have* a legitimate key Other games (ofc I haven't tested them all...) work pretty much ok.

A1200, KS3.1, ClassicWB Lite, 4GB cf-hd.

The resload address is always the same (Resload $4010)

Did you install the game from original disks?

olliraa (reporter)

I have a non-working original floppy, so I've tried with the version from the KG:s whdload packs and some other "non-original" versions. The point is however, that these versions basically work for everyone else, so it's not about "being original or not". I've been told that it's a hw problem, but like I said I have changed everything in my setup.

1. Have you tried different tooltypes' settings?

olliraa (reporter)

Sorry, I forgot to mention. I have tried the following tooltypes:

nomemreverse
noautovector

I have also tried:

nocache
noresint
mmu

This could mean something:

I tested with the second latest version of whdload (16.8.xxx). Now the resload address is always $3DB0 instead of $4010. So:

16.9.xxx -> $4010
16.8.xxx -> $3DB0

there was discussion on eab on this http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?t=48953
it seems hardware creates random interrupts
Galahad will try to adapt the Slave to ignore them
