Summary | 0001431: How 2 Skin a Cat: For me it runs perfectly on Blizzard 1230 but on CSMKIII 060
Description | Install: How 2 Skin a Cat (Melon Dezign) http://whdload.de/demos/MelonDezign_How2SkinACat.html GameVersion: http://www.pouet.net/prod.php?which=3539 SlaveVersion: Version from whdload.de (30.4.1998) For me it runs perfectly on Blizzard 1230 but on CSMKIII 060 there are a few problems. - There are two dot effects, a dot tunnel, and later a rotating twisting dot cube. When shown they sort of slows down, and the screen sort of looks like interlace or maybe it's the framerate going down. Thats the best way I can describe it. - There are also two vector bitmap rotating thingies with Matilde and the Melon logo, also flashing in the same way as the dot effects. All this doesn't seem to affect the timing in the demo in any way, so it may be an easy fix (but what do I know!)

Did you try "NoCache" tooltype? If memory serves me right all the dot effects in the demo use self-modifying code which causes problems on fast machines. |

Hi StingRay, I'm 95% sure that I have tried the "NoCache" tooltype, and a lot of others as well. But it's been a while, so I could be wrong! My A4000 is out of order at the moment, so I can't test right now. I have a spare motherboard, so I will try to get the machine working again in the near future, and report back. Jacob |
