Summary0004569: Prince of persia Massive Slowdown on A600 ACA620 and A1200 M-tec 1230.
DescriptionHello,

i'm experiencing huge framerate slowdown with this game since a lot's time i thought it was my ACA620 not slave friendly but now with Last slave 3.3 NTSC and my new A1200 with 68030 2mb chip 4 mb fast i stil have huge framerate drop. at the same place so this look like slave issue.
Steps To Reproducethat could happen every time you have to fight a soldier and at the same time a door open with inteerupteur in the ground or some spike come from the ground. when everything happen together the game go to 5 FPS. and what that happen you have to get ou that screen to return to normal framerate BUT after that framerate will drop randomely for no reasons mostly all the time.
Additional Informationvery easy to reproduce going to LV4. go left one screen, down on screen, left one screen, fight the guard that fall on the spike and open door at the same time. resulting instant 5 FPS game is unplayable and after that screen permanent framerate drop.

we're talking about NTSC version right not PAL? does pal has the same issue?

JOTD (developer)

could be a case of super-slow code in chipmem actually being visible and a nuisance, like seen in SWOS for instance

JOTD (developer)

relocating game in fastmem apparently speeds it up. Lots of work to do to finish v4.0 but looks promising
