Description | I concluded following behavior by playing from floppy disks and comparing character files in hex editor: In the guild, when a character is added to party, the game writes to it's character file zeroing all the gold. The character still has the gold in-game and the game keeps track of it, but it's not written back to character files until clicking "Leave game" in the guild. So the game keeps party gold hostage until they make it back to the guild. Reset during a misadventure results zero gold for whole party. Trainer option to prevent this would be nice for less hardcore players. | ||||
