This issue happens on old slave 1.0

Have you tried with latest slave 1.1 ?

Yes it happends with slave 1.1 as well.

Confirmed: it happens when the game didn't find the startup-sequence file (it checks the first letter for a small anti-hacking :)
btw I had always played the game with all disk files...

Pls try the new slave.

New slave 1.2 works perfect no more black screen anymore.
