Doh, forgot to say that I have 8 MB Fast ram. |
Well it just crashed again with the same exception error at the Genetic Asylum boss.
Yesterday the game crashed at sector 2 in Midan's Labyrinth.
It didn't crash with an exception or access fault, it just froze and I was still able to quit the game.
This slave is indeed buggy. |

It crashes randomly with my A500 KS3.1 68030 8MB fast 2MB chip also. The floppy version crashes also but in 68000 mode it works perfectly. I think the problem might be with CPUs > 68k. |

similiar problem is with Assassin - crashes at 1 level in caves, always in the same place "exception "illegal instruction" ($10) at $8006A occured. If I do not enter this place everything is ok in level 1. Game bug? |

there is a new install released in july this year, does it fix the problem? |
Well I just succesfully completed the game using slave v1.2 and WHDLoad 17.0.4874.
However it seems that some places in Midan's Lair triggers a bug which leads to a crash.
"Unfortunately" I must have went straight through that level without entering that area just now. :( |
Since the same situation is in Assassin I assume that these bugs are indeed game bugs not whdload or machine dependent. |
That might very well be the truth, just think of Project-X, the first revision of that crashed 95% of the time on level 3 on a standard Amiga 500 with 512kb fakefast.
On 1mb chip ram Amigas it worked fine though.
Team 17 should have hired more playtesters back in the day. :\ |
Probably can be fixed but this require lot of work. |

I just released a new update. It has levelskips. Please use the levelskips and tell me what's the fastest way to make it crash (I also added fastmem support) |
It seems the new v2.0 installer at whdload.de contains the old v1.2 slave. |
Sorry, I just noticed there's two slaves in the archive, can't see the forest for all the trees. :) |

No crashes to report, all seems to be working now. |
