badly no time to investigate more...

without SNOOP tooltype => GFX bug on interlace intro vertical scrolling screen (first screen with japoneese house)

with all tested tootype
music is badly displayed =>many samples are not displayed (main theme after first intro screen=>on JCVD shadow animation)

Strange issue launching Dyna Blaster with latest WinUAE 4.4.0 beta 1: game hangs and/or missing music in main menu, and keyboard not working...
I know it's just a beta and 4.3.0 was working fine... but I wonder if there's something hacky in the code to be fixed once and for all that can be to root of problems.

Wait, it might be an issue with "uae-configuration" tool (in Amiga Programs's WinUAE full .msi package)... As I've written at http://eab.abime.net/showpost.php?p=1397781&postcount=40 :

...try before you run Dynablaster to execute from shell: "uae-configuration cachesize 0" and then re-set "uae-configuration cachesize 16384" (or whatever it was), then run again Dynablaster and you'll see it will freeze keyboard and/or music player is too fast.

Works fine unless/only if you never change WinUAE settings through "uae-configuration"... So maybe there's just an incompatibility with uae-configuration command and 4.4.0b1+

Uae-configuration or via GUI (if you manually disable JIT cache from WinUAE GUI) before you run the game it will freeze!

If you just boot WinUAE 4.4.0b1 or b2 it this slave works fine, until you change JIT CACHES. Doesn't matter if you just disable and re-enable it as it was: this slave (ONLY) will crash.

It looks like it is slave bug in some situations. Dynablaster vblank interrupt at the end seems to jump back to whdload code which writes D1 to DFF09C but D1 contains value that sets (not clear) at least vblank and ports interrupts.

I’ve looked at this but slave contains the code from the game.

The interrupt code from the game may be bugged, but it works on real hardware.

I thought WinUAE emulates buggy code too.

Predator install not working on A500 + ACA500+
There is no "Predator" Category, only Predator 2.

The install does not work on A500 with ACA500+ (68000 42Mhz). White screen after starting.
Start the game.

Sorry to report You This... But on my ACA500Plus both games works (Predator 1&2).

I don't retry full install because I don't find any IPF files for the first predator game (doesn' Exist).

But like me, if You download both already installed games from WHDownload.com... You will see that both of them works on ACA500Plus...

I have the same issue as TOM-CAT Crashes with Illegal Instruction $e010 on my A500ACA500Plus (Only 68000 and 7MB FAST RAM WHDLOAD 18.6 Last Beta files)

I tried already installed game from WHDownload because install tool isn't compatible with SPS IPF File 2059...

I Tried some Tooltypes like NOCACHE, NOAUTOVEC, EXPLOCAL (FOR A500), NOAUTOVEC .... But without success.... same message each time.

But on my A1200 same installed Game works correctly...

Please Could You have a look ?

I manually replaced The System-files with those from the latest WB 3.1.4.1 and Mega Ball 4 works fine with The System-files from WB 3.1.4.1.
Please also upgrade, update or replace The System-files inside Your install with those from the latest WB in a future update or future upgrade.

I have an A500 Rev.6A ACA500Plus Only 68000 @ 14Mhz with 7MB Ram FastRam WITH HYPERION OS 3.1.4.1
I just finish to verify it with a complete new install from File SPS IPF 2659.
But I can confirm You that this game works on my ACA500PLUS with the latest Slave.
Did You removed ToolType NoVBRMove from info file ?
Could You retry it with You ACA500Plus @14 Mhz Or @28 Mhz
If it doesn't works at @ 14 MZ, in that case Could You retry a new installation with latest install tool (v1.1.1)?

I just did all that you asked for:
- Changed the Frequency to 14 and 28 Mhz. No change - still freezes at start.
- Reinstalled the game completely from the same SPS image (2659) and latest install 1.1.1 - working fine in WinUAE but when started on my A500 + ACA500+ it does not start. freezes with blackscreen in the beginning.
I have tried several memory options too, all the same behaviour.

One question: Would it be possible to insert an additonal title screen to Overlander? The Ferrari in the title screen is okay but I would love to see as an 2nd title screen the Mustang from the original box art. I made a quick 320x256 iff of the original box art here:

It usually happens when after you loose and press ESC at Replay, then start a new match and loose again and let the game-over play.
You have to repeat this more than once and happens randomly (let's say 1/5).

I tried too other ToolType : NOCACHE, NOAUTOVEC, NOVBRMOVE nut without any success...
Under my A1200 same install works correcty...

Here's another game that I've tried various versions of, but have yet to get it to run on either my modified A600 or A1200 via WHDload.

Anyone ever have any success getting it to run? I used to love playing this on my old 500, even if I did have to size down the screen and turn most the graphical details off. Would be great to play this again now that I have the hardware to handle it in it's full Wolfenstein-esque glory.

[Slave] Synthesis/Network v1.0: crash (Line 1111 Emulator Error) when running on 030 CPU (real or emulated)
WHDload (18.3 & 18.5, possibly other versions) crashes right after the intro sequence with the above message when using the A1200 slave.

I have reproduced the issue on two Amiga 1200s, one w/ an 1d board rev. and another with 1d4, as well as two accelerator cards:

- Typhoon 030 w/SCSI @42Mhz w/64Mb RAM
- ACA 1233n @40Mhz w/128Mb RAM

Full error message:

Line 1111 Emulator ($2C) at $475B3B96 (Task 'Initial Cli', ExpMem $41B96) occured.

The ExpMem address is identical on all crashes. The first part is similar (e.g $6F7B6B96 $475B3B96)

The error is also reproducible when emulating the A1200 using FS-UAE - tested with WHDLoad 18.3 & 18.5, as well as compared the official slave online.

WHDLoad options tried:

- NOVBRMOVE (proceeds into the second part with only music playing)
- NOMEMREVERSE (no change)
- NOAUTOVEC (no change)
- MMU on/off (behaves identically)

The demo works fine on both cards, and under FS-UAE, when running it directly without WHDLoad.

It also works in WHDLoad under FS-UAE when using the Blizzard 1240 option, possibly indicating some issues with the 040 patches when not running on said CPU.
Start the Network/Synthesis demo using either a real Blizzard 1230 (tested w/ UAE - assuming it will behave identical in real-life), a Typhoon 1230 MkII @42Mhz, or an ACA 1233n @40Mhz.

-Or- select the 'Blizzard 1230' expansion option in FS-UAE (https://fs-uae.net/download) when running via HDF.

Start the demo as usual, and skip the intro sequence w/ LMB. The crash should occur right after the music for the next part starts playing.

It seems to happen consistently with at least four accelerator boards (Blizzard 1230, Typhoon 030 @40 Mhz w/64mb, DKB 030 w/64mb & ACA 030 @42Mhz w/ 128mb)

I'm not sure if it's the installer or my disk but as far as I can see the disk seems to be okay.

Hard crash shortly after launching on ACA 1233n 030 (42Mhz/128Mb), blanking video output, req. full reset
When launching the latest version of this slave (which is rather old), it runs only for a couple of seconds (during the intro sequence), then crashes *hard*, blanking the RGB output and requiring a cold power-cycle.

I've seen this behaviour in just one other slave with this card, which was the Alcatraz Megademo II, and was caused by interrupt issues according to StingRay (maintainer for said project.)

Just in case a similar issue is the cause of this with my ACA card.

Unfortunately there is no coredump / .whld_register file to provide due to the hard crash this causes, or I would have provided it with the ticket.
Launch game using an ACA1233n accelerator & wait a couple of seconds.

Slowdowns in main menu in v2.1a
In v2.1a of installer/slave game have horrible slowdowns of music and text and text is buggy and blinking. Disable blitter patches and using NOCACHE, NOVBR, etc switches doesn't help.

the Battle Isle installer did not on my Amiga 1200 with Kickstart / Workbench 3.1.4. It complained, the program "Installer" would be too old, although it is newer then needed. According to this thread in a German Amiga Forum https://www.a1k.org/forum/index.php?threads/74143/page-2#post-1369548 the problem should be in line 1260.
Would be great if you could fix it. If you need more information, don't hesitate to contact me.

Der Installer der mit 3.1.4 mitkommt hat zwar eine höhere Versionsnummer als der von 3.9, unterstützt aber nicht alle Funktionen von 44.10. Deswegen gibt er sich im Skript auch als <44.10 aus.
Die Meldung ist aber auch nur ein Hinweis. Die Installation ist mit beiden Versionen funktionstüchtig.

First, 1.1 ECS version requires Kick40068.a1200, that is non sense on an ECS system.
Next, if I provide the required KS, then same problem as Pascal De Maesneire appears on my CDTV : black screen and power/filter LED flashes showing that the game crashed. As the quitkey doesn't work, real reset is needed.

There is no WHDLoad install yet for the CD32 version which would support the joypad. There is an installer on the original cdrom but seems to be broken. Thread on eab: http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?t=81752

The game runs only when started from the disc on real hardware. It is sometimes corrupted on expanded real hardware, e.g. TF330. Other times it works fine.

A WHDLoad install would be great to ditch the CD, launch from WB, and save to HD (via nvram redirection in Workbench).

i tried to installed the game from the original SPS version 0025, it only installs 3 disks out the 4 used by the game.

Then, when i launch the game, only table 1 and 4 can be loaded. Tables 2 and 3 are crashing on loading. The only solution is to quit with F10.
Just launch the game, and repeat the step above.

Same here. It is also not clear what disks the imager program refers to. SPS disks are named "CourseDisk1(2,3)" and "Disk1" (the boot disk I assume).

I am very familiar with both games, finished DM twice in the past, not finishing CSB.

Maximum Powered Character Stats
If either of you could make this happen, it would be great. I have never seen any trainers for either of these games in the past.

WHDLoad suspends on KS3.0 with interlaced hi-res screen mode
When running any WHDLoad installed game/demo on KS3.0 with hi-res interlaced screen mode it's high probability of suspend of it with black screen. If this happens only reset is possible. It also happens on WinUAE with similar config.
With KS3.0 and Hi-Res interlaced screen mode just run few WHDLoad games/demos. Tested on PAL mode only.

Ok, pal who made mentioned mod. for me receive my Amiga and on my request check attached WHDLoad. He run about ten games one after another and it looks with this version bug is not present. Thank You very much for this fix! You can close this bug report.

das Spiel stürzt leider ständig ab. Besonders gerne bei der Bedienung des "Netzwerkrechners" aber auch zwischendurch, beim betrachten von Gegenständen oder betreten von Räumen. DreamWeb AGA ist als WHDload-Version, so leider nicht spielbar. Könnt ihr das evtl. beheben? Ich spiele aktuell mit der "normalen" HD-Installation, welche auch normal/gut funktioniert. Allerdings schätze ich die Whdload-Version mehr, da der Sound/die Musik gefixt wurde und besser klingt.

Thanks to Covid I lost my job, so sorry for the long time without feedback.

WORKING NOW!!!

After default installation there is NO res_mt32.cfg, just a resource.cfg.
This leads to the mentioned crash. I made a copy of resource.cfg and renamed it to res_mt32.cfg
and now the game is starting!!! :-)

Pinball Dreams interrupt
Selecting 2 joysticks to control the game make some kind of interrupt and crash the game quite often. It is random but should show up quite fast. I can even hear in the audio that something is wrong. It is like the paula filter is on.

I am having simaliar problems. When we play (2 real amiga A1200s) with the feature enabled, we get graphic distortions (see attachment).

You can see in the top, all kinds of black images. Those graphics from some of the items of the table.

No problem with winuae with settings on real a1200.

Nope, sorry. It did not take long before I got a system freeze.
I have mouse in port 1 and arcade controller with pinball buttons on the side connected to joystick directions. I use the keyboard for selecting table etc.
I select the 2 joystick control. Could the mouse connected to port 1 be an issue?

It seams that the keyboard is the problem. I have played a little now without freeze using 2 joysticks.

I understand that you made it for arcade controller and that is kind of what I have. It is around 50 cm in length and have buttons on the side that are connected to joystick directions. Left, right and 2 tilt buttons. This can be a very nice solution. I would like to make a video of so other can make to.

It is little sad if not possible to use keyboard to write high-score etc. but I can live with that. Thanks for the update :)

In the Deathwing mode (campaign) after succed a mission, impossible to start the next, you're still doing the first mission. On floppy, the game save on disk 3. But i think that the game on HD doesn't save . Is it normal ? Hope there's a solution 'cause space hulk has a new birth on HD.

Game crashes at two points.
Game always crashes at two points (on AGA version):
1) when you try to use the "Monitor" in Louis's apartment.
2) when you try to use "Papers" in your inventory.

2nd one is essential to advance in the game so this bug renders the game unplayable.

WHDLoad reports :
Exception "Address Error" ($200C)
or
Exception "Access Fault" ($4008)

The crash can always be reproduced on WinUAE with different configurations, so the bug is very probably not hardware specific.

I have experienced the second bug when trying to use papers in my inventory, shortly after killing the guards at Sartain Industries.

On my configuration (a4000/060 with cyberstorm mk1 + zz9000) it crashes with:

Rampage seems to have an issue where i cant selective player 2 and 3 inactive

Rampage seems to have an issue where i cant selective player 2 and 3 inactive with arrow keys because with winuae arrow keys is used for control method.
Pressing 1 , 2 or 3 to select character works but then cannot deactivate players as arrows are.used for player 1 control.
Can this be patched fixed for easy use when playing this game as 1 player.
Also the ESC key after selecting your player.. can this be converted to firebutton instead or some key a bit more common the ESC?

Das Erstellen/Laden von Savegames funktioniert nicht, ein Weiterspielen ist dann nicht möglich
Es ist nicht möglich im Spiel im Homebildschirm (Bildschirm mit allen Icons des Spiels) auf der Festplatte oder Diskette zu sichern. Wenn das Icon "Sichern" angeklickt wird, erscheint zunächst "Datenträger defekt" dann "Bitte legen Sie eine Spielstanddiskette ein". Es kann eine Diskette eingelegt werden, doch der Amiga liest keine Informationen von der Diskette und das Programm macht nicht weiter. Die Maus kann weiter bewegt werden, der Curser folgt, aber keine Aktion kann diese Meldung quittieren. Die Musik läuft weiter.
Ein Klick auf das Laden Symbol hat den gleichen Fehler zur Folge.
Interessanter weise funktioniert das Abspeichern der Einstellungen auf die Festplatte nach Klicken auf Einstellungen im Homebildschirm (Bildschirm mit allen Icons des Spiels). Es erscheint die typische Übersicht mit Laufwerken/Verzeichnissen. Auch können diese Einstellungen von Festplatte geladen werden.

Auch ist es nicht möglich im Startbildschirm bei dem auszuwählen sind wie viele Spieler mitspielen einen Spielstand zu laden. Hier kommt die gleiche Fehlermeldung.
Das Problem besteht bei mir sowohl auf:

Echtem Commodore Amiga 1200, Hattrick Version 1.36, PArtitionsgröße ca. 600MB
WinUAE, Emulated Amiga 1200, Hattrick Version 1.36 und 1.00. Dateien liegen in einem Ordner, der als Festplatte eingebunden wird. Festplattengröße über 2GB, hier kann bei dem Speichern der Einstellungen nicht die Festplatte ausgewählt werden, da sie nicht angezeigt wird, auf Diskette ode RAM geht es.

Here is one more slave that haven't been touched since 1999!
And there we have a good example of exclusive WHDLoad feature use. Indeed, one of the worst flaws of this very nice game is that you control the character with only one fire button. standard pressure > you fire, long pressure > you jump. Very annoying. It would be nice to add the possibility to deactive long pressure and use second button to jump.
Exit key working on 68000 and cheats would be nice additions too ;-)
Just launch the game and get upset quickly trying to jump while playing :-)

Normally it should be able to be controlled fully through joystick, with either Custom1=3 or Custom1=2
Start with Custom1=3 or Custom1=2 to use joystick instead of keyboard.
Use the south soldiers (grey uniform) to attack a station.
Joystick no longer controls the grey player, only keyboard.

Please consider supporting Software Preservation Society archive #1797 (7 disk)
Could you please clarify which versions are supported?

Similar to #0004339, except installing using Software Preservation Society floppy disk archive #1797.

The installer (version 2018-02-28) readme suggests just CD32, but when the installer is run it allows a floppy disk install.
Using disks within SPS #1797, when it gets to the RawDIC part, I provide it with:

- Car Disk 1
- Car Disk 2
- Track Disk 1
- Track Disk 2
- Track Disk 3
- Track Disk 4

Once the installation is complete I run the game and see the WHDLoad splash-screen, before it then errors with "The data/disk-files are damaged or it is an unsupported versions."

I've tried swapping the install order between Car Disk 2 and Car Disk 1, but same result, so presumably the version isn't supported.
The floppy disk archive itself seems to be okay, as I can play the game directly from the disks.

i'm experiencing huge framerate slowdown with this game since a lot's time i thought it was my ACA620 not slave friendly but now with Last slave 3.3 NTSC and my new A1200 with 68030 2mb chip 4 mb fast i stil have huge framerate drop. at the same place so this look like slave issue.
that could happen every time you have to fight a soldier and at the same time a door open with inteerupteur in the ground or some spike come from the ground. when everything happen together the game go to 5 FPS. and what that happen you have to get ou that screen to return to normal framerate BUT after that framerate will drop randomely for no reasons mostly all the time.
very easy to reproduce going to LV4. go left one screen, down on screen, left one screen, fight the guard that fall on the spike and open door at the same time. resulting instant 5 FPS game is unplayable and after that screen permanent framerate drop.

For me, it now printed "Security Check No 1 - Within which radius was the limited trade possible ? S13 P4"

The S13 P4 means that the answer is in the manual sheet 13, paragraph 4. The answer is 15 according to the manual on hol.abime.net. If the wrong answer is given, the game hangs endlessly.

In the Paradox Crack included with Gamebase Amiga 2.0, this protection can be bypassed by pressing enter.

Pretty cool game by the way.

Final Countdown pictures appear too fast in terminal
When any picture is displayed in the terminal, the picture appears too quickly. On a real A500, there's a cool little effect how the picture is drawn one layer after the other. On WHDLoad, this happens way too fast to be visible.
This can be seen on game over, the gray logo appearing too fast.

Or when entering show xxx.pic with some .pic file in the in-game cli.

The stopwatch in the race is running too fast.
Started from disk, it runs normally, via WHDLoad it runs 2-3 times as fast and the game is therefore unfortunately unplayable

Tested on Amiga 3000/030 @ 25Mhz, A4000 / 060 @ 50Mhz, A1200 / 030 @ 50Mhz and CD32 with Elsat Promodule and CDTV with Matze 14mhz TK.
Always the same. Stopwatch runs too fast.

Add keyboard support to Test Drive 2 driving
The driving mechanic for Test Drive 2 was designed with the keyboard in mind. When ported to the Amiga, keyboard support was peculiarly dropped from driving sections (the keyboard still works to navigate the menu) making driving with certain joysticks very difficult.

Feature request: add keyboard support (arrow keys + A and Z for gear up/down) to driving sections of the game.
Launch game, try and use arrow keys to accelerate, brake and steer.
PC and IIGS versions use keyboard by default.

Hi, this is the disk image of the SWIV version released in Spain:

Language selection issues
Hi, I am using the HDFs made by Ransom1122.
He always configures old slaves in a way that shows the custom options as selectable buttons in the splashscreen like in WHDLoad v17+. That works great in hundreds of cases, except here at the CD32 slave of "Fury of the Furries".

Unlimited lives, unlimited time and skip intro works fine.
Even choosing English and Fremen language works fine.

But:
If I choose German, the game always is in French.
If I choose any other language (Spanish, Italian, French) the game is in English.

Retroplay tried to fix it too, but the result is the same.

My wish: can you please update the slave to WHDLoad v17+, so the language selection will be hardcoded into the slave and working.

By the way. Please correct the spelling of "Fremen" language too. It's not "Freemen". :O)

Because On my A1200 1D4 PAL AGA 2MB with GVP A1230Turbo+II @40MHZ+FPU WITH 32MB.
It seems works correctly without any tooltype (No horizontal line glitch)

But with my A500ECS ACA500PLUS @7MHZ AND 7MB FAST WITHOUT ToolType NOVBRMOVE,I Had full line glitch.

Still the same horizontal line glitch exactly when the parallax ends and the mountains start. You must have a big tree or something behind Valdyn to notice the glitch.

In the bottom left the tooltypes I use to degrade system before launch (uae-configuration...).
I remember the same bug on my A1200 AGA long time ago, using the same Lionheart exe. The only workaround on WinUAE is forcing "chipset ecs" before you run the game and the shifted line will disappear.

Sorry, maybe now I'm asking too much... ;) but there's always been also this small glitch in Lev1 right after the "wasps" in the map where you have to climb up rotating platforms: https://i.ibb.co/fv31Dvg/image.png
In the map Thalion probably forgot to add a square background sprite for this plant. But I'm afraid this would probably require too much work (analyze map format, found the exact position and add missing sprite)... So never mind in case.

Thank you so much for these fixes! Lionheart was and still is one of the best platforms ever (not only for the Amiga) IMHO

(some water pixels change to white color and return to good water color, then the bug repeat again and again)

Did you try to run the WHDLoad slave with NOCACHE? Are you using WHDLoad 18.6 from whdload.de/whdload/whd186.lha ? Check out also your S:Whdload-startup and software cfg (running blitter patches from WB etc?)...
I can't reproduce it on basic WinUAE A1200 + 8MB FAST cfg and boot without SSeq, at least on lvl 1 water. Does it happen in a specific location?

Yesturday evening, just after Your post I quikly tried it under WINUAE 4.3.0 64 Bits
But Under WINUAE with WHDLOAD 18.5 or 18.6 the problem NEVER COME....
This week-end, I will retry it with WHDLOAD 18.6 on my real both Amiga but with tooltype NOCACHE I can already told you that the Graphics glitcht appears all along level 1 only in water and when moving the character (A1200 too).
With slave 2.3C there isn't any problems in the wather...
Don't You have any Real amiga to try it?
because WINUAE works correctly but it's an emulator and I suspect that it can't reproduce at 100% a real Amiga...only at 99.9%
Personnaly I use WINUAE (OS 3.5) to prepare and test all of my WHDLOAD games installations but I play only in real amiga. If I post this problem, if I post this problem it is to alert the other players and that they can try this on other real Amiga.

I inform you that this glitch is present in the original game. this is not a WHDLOAD slave problem...

To verify it, I mounted the HFV3 converted IPF SPS 0845 images disk files in my Gotek HXC drive on my A500 ... The game start as a real original without any cracks on my A500 and the black bars are present on the screen but it's better than the problems with the glitch in the water.

Hi,
Here same issue as World Games... about Keyboard & Guru Meditation...
On my A500 ACA500PLUS @14 MHZ, when I want to use my Keyboard to enter player name, directly when I want to type on my keybord I have Guru Meditation error.
This problem is only with A500 with CPU 68000 (I don't have any accelerator card on my ACA500PLUS) because on my A1200 the same installation works perfectly.
Please could You have a look for this problem...
Peraphs could You ask to Psygore to confirm the problem because I think he have an ACA500PLUS card... but I think he used an accelerator card on IT...
I tested too : California Games II, Summer Games 1 & 2, Winter games.... They works perfectly with my ACA500PLUS, Except California Games 1 & WorldGames...

it is not you configuration which have not enougth memory;)

indeed kick13 for a bit like an emulator so you need pre-define memory reserved for Kickstart 1.3 boot.

in this case only 512Ko reserved.

perhaps fast memory or more chip reservation needed.

i will try if i have free time to test it this weeek-end

Game runs way too fast, too smooth, and is way too hard because of that
The game runs too fast. The controls and gameplay are much harder compared to A500 because it runs too fast. Try making first place on first race. On A500 disk version, no problem, on WHDLoad version, almost impossible.
Load up Jaguar XJ220 WHDLoad on a stock A1200.

have you try ExpChip & NoCache Tooltypes together?

ps:
for information, defaut SLAVE use only chip memory so ExpChip have not effect... so in this case try with NoCache

Very strange bug. I cannot play it with my Competition Pro. Intro and everything is working fine.
But in the game the characters seems to try to grab his back, which makes it unmovable.
No rapid fire active. Tested several Competition Pro.
Connecting a CD32 pad and this behaviour stops, game is now playable.
Connecting a Competition Pro (single fire) and it is no more working or let me say the character is trying to grab his back, looks funny.

It is working now, tested with a CD32 pad and my Competition Pro! :-)


2 other points:

1. if you press ESC the quit question appears but did not stay. look beneath
the hearths.

2. not important, but if you start with a connected Competition Pro it works.
If you connect in game a pad it works! but if you connect now again the Competition
Pro jumping (up) is no more working. But normally no-one is changing in the middle of
the game.

The CD32 control option is malfunctioning. After pressing one of the colored buttons, the game stops.
Sometimes it is enough to press the colored button for a moment. In other cases, you need to hold it down slightly, or you may need to press one of the directions with the colored button and the game will stop.
 The game continues when I press one of the colored buttons again.
I have a Competition Pro CD32 Gamepad, So far, all worked perfectly with it, as if it were original CD32 controller. I don't think that Competition Pro would be the problem.
Thank you for your work so far and I ask you to correct the error.
It would be a really great experience to play this funny game with a well-functioning CD32 controller.

Yeah, it says version 4.2 but it should be 5.1. I guess you have another version of CAPSImg.dll installed somewhere on your system. I think Windows first scans certain system directories before opening a DLL from the program directory. So there's probably another copy of CAPSImg.dll in a system directory and that version is given priority. MD5 of my version of CAPSImg.dll 5.1.0.1 is 79b0078d27e5bc1de490289c45792ffe

Yeah, I'll do that. Really strange that this hasn't been dumped yet because it's not exactly an exotic title. They only have the version with DOS tracks but this is what they often used for re-releases while the original release was MFM.

Hi guys,
Any chance you could incorporate the invisibility cheat into the option in the splash screen? There is only unlimited lives cheat available at the moment.
The built in cheat where you have to jump mushrooms collect certain things on level 1 does work but it is very annoying to have to do to get invisibility enabled.
im happy to create a savestate of a before and after the invisibility is toggled if needed.

All the youtbue longplay show two musics that can be played while playing but there is no ingame music here.
First of all, it would be nce to have music by default as here we have to press M to activate music on title screen. But even when music is activated on title screen, no ingame music. Really sad as ingame music are one of the better points of this game :-)
And a quitkey on 68000 would be nice too.

Those Youtube videos are misleading because I'm sure they have been editted to add the music in game when in reality it only plays on the into screen. I even tried it on my A500 with ADF files and no music in game!

Of course I tried with ADF and IPF too and didn't heard ingame music. But if it's a fake on youtube videos, so almost everybody that had made a video about Ninja Warriors edited it to fake ingame music. And if it's right, it means that John Croudy and Ronald Pieket Weeserik that made other great game (SWIV, Rodland, Saint Dragon) conversions, including ingame musics, decided here to compose two musics just for title screen.
In addition, if you look in instruction manual, you can see that a key permits to swap music on/off during introduction while for ST another key permit to switch SFX on/off, clearly meaning that if on ST they SFX, on Amiga we had musics (but without SFX I suppose)
But as these games seem to use lot of tricks, maybe ability to play music ingame depend on a specific memory configuration.

Well, lot of clues that let hope to find something if somebody have a search about that in the code to activate music while playing.

Install script fixed in V2.3. It wasn't just the icon, accidentally a wrong extension was used for the Hit Squad version which meant the slave, icon and other files weren't found.

Darkman Time Trainer not usable
When you use the "unlimited time" trainer you are not able to get to the second level, because at the end of the first level the points will be counted forever. You can watch the score rising and rising for hours. No chance to skip this.
Use time trainer and finish the first level.
I think that happens because the remaining time is producing a higher score. But when the time is unlimited, the score is unlimited too. So it never stops counting the score.

Karate Kid II - Several text problems

This might be because I'm using the slave under emulation, but I get the feeling it's just a slave that needs updating.

Karate Kid II is missing the following:

- The first opening screen (before the loading screen) is not there. This one: https://i.imgur.com/eAXKYAP.png
- Before each level, you're supposed to see the level name. This is missing. Example: https://i.imgur.com/byrfgTF.png
- After each level, you're supposed to see how many bonus points you scored. This is missing. Example: https://i.imgur.com/FDt6Qdi.png
- After the second round of the ice breaking bonus level, you're supposed to see how many points you scored. This is missing. Only the first round is shown. Example: https://i.imgur.com/LSE5McK.png

And one more which I'm not sure is a bug or not.

After the final encounter when you beat Chozen, the drum begins. Regardless of what you do, you will always get the message "JUST IN TIME - YOU SAVED THE DAY", even if you don't do anything.
I tried various ADFs and they do the same thing. I can't recall if my original did that (it's been decades), so I can't say if this is how the game always was, or if it's a bug, but I feel like it should say something else if he ends up punching you before you punch him.

I have just tested using WinUAE on an 1200 2mb 68020 config (fully compatible) and I can confirm all of the above still happens, with the exception of the final encounter because I didn't play that far.

Everything in the above screenshots seems to be related to the "text screen" code being skipped too quickly.
Any time a text screen appears (such as before each level) you see it flash very quickly instead of showing it for a short while as it does from floppy.

I've uploaded a couple of GIFs demonstrating the issue to https://imgur.com/a/oXJavY2

The top GIF is the ADF version (cr SCA - CRC: 6077DA45). You can see immediately that even during loading, a text screen appears. When you press Fire to start the game, you see a text screen saying "Daniel's First Encounter", etc.

The bottom GIF is the WHDLoad slave. All text screens are pretty non-existent. They flash for a fraction of a second and the game continues. (Empty DBF loop?)

I decided to look into this.

The game works fine when I comment out the following in the slave and assemble:

        ;PL_R $c7a ;kill disk operations

Of course, then the disk drive gets accessed which is not what's wanted in a slave. However the text screens all come up and work perfectly.

I'm not sure what that RTS does so if anyone has experience with disassembly, that's all that needs to be fixed :)

I've also gone ahead and written a quick trainer for it when CUSTOM1=1 (no clue how to get this to appear in the WHDLoad splash screen though).

When the trainer is enabled, press key:

1 - toggles player 1 unlimited energy on/off
2 - toggles player 2 unlimited energy on/off
s - skips level - Doesn't skip bonus levels, and buggy on last level

I probably didn't do things correctly in a WHDLoad way because I really don't know how. Example:

move.l #$916d005a,$139d0 ; Restore original p1 lives code

I'm putting the value directly into $139d0 because I know that's where it is in memory, however it should probably be done relative to the base address... no clue how to do that with WHDLoad.

I figured out what was up with the text. It's a timing issue.

I'm not saying that I can fix it, but I think I might be able to do it myself. I don't know, but I'd like to try even if it takes me really long. I'm the only person that's ever reported this issue both here and on EAB so I don't think time matters. I'd like to learn :)

I have noticed a new issue with the original release of the game in addition to the one I mentioned above concerning the Amiga Format Coverdisk release.

I managed to grab a copy of the original release of Interphase and when using the installer to install it I get a message: "Diskimaging not successful! The patcher couldn't create all needed files!" Tried several times but cannot get it to work. It seems the installer could be way out of date now.

I'm hoping someone can have a look at it as I'm quite desperate to play it on the hard drive. Unfortunately I can't play it from the floppy on my accelerated A600 and A1200 computers because of a timing issue that causes loading from game save floppy's not to work. Hi there,

It's been a few years since I originally posted this bug report and I was wondering if someone could please update the slave for both the retail version and the Amiga Format coverdisk version, since the last slave was 1999.

Please ignore my previous comments as some of things I mentioned were not entirely accurate and were user error.

Nevertheless, the Amiga Format version has an issue where it will crash after a few minutes and some of the graphics will go red.

I also have an issue with the retail version where it will throw the following error when trying to run it:

Exception "CHK,CHK2 Instruction" ($2018) at $CCCCD1C occured.

I have attached a log showing the error.

Syetem: Amiga 600 with Vampire 600 (GOLD 2.11), Amiga OS 3.1.4.1, KS 3.1.4

There is no Pause key in this game?
I've also found (worth mentioning in the ReadMe):
SPACEBAR = select start level from main menu
F1 = quit to main menu
HELP = replenish lives (cheat!)
Request: add BUTTONWAIT when a new world starts to be able to read the text on fast machines (e.g. "Thor enters Alfheim, the first world on his journey to Hel.")

The game is beautiful, but much too hard. The slave version is so old and I am not able to understand what the trainer key (Quitkey-2) means. I found explanations in EAB, but even with that explanations I don't get it. Maybe only programmers are able to know about this.

With version 2.0 of slave, a timing fix was added to stabilize the game speed. This works great in PAL, but when run in NTSC the game stops at the point where the first enemy soldier would normally appear. Does not occur if timing fix is disabled.

This is a minor issue, as it runs as expected in PAL. However, there is a reasonable use case for running in NTSC, as the game only uses the NTSC display area, plays at a different rate of speed (perhaps even the intended speed) and is otherwise compatible with NTSC timing. It appears to have at least been designed to be NTSC and PAL market compatible, perhaps even NTSC native.
1. Launch Ikari Warriors with timing fix enabled, with NTSC tooltype.
2. From title screen, start game with 1 key

After game start plane crash animation, the game playfield screen appears, Player is spawned and automatically advances up the screen for approx. 5 seconds. At this point, the first enemy soldier would appear at the top of the screen, and control is turned over to the player. However, gameplay freezes at this point. The music continues to play, and the quitkey still functions.
Tested on:
A1200 original 68020 + fastram
A1200 68030 55mhz + fastram
A500 68030 50mhz + fastram + 2MB chip

Ultima 6 WHDload copy protection removal needs fixing
The removing of the game copy protection ( needs manual!) does not seem to work properly.
The gameplay starts at Lord British castle and
after winning the first battle with gargoyles, you must speak with LB to get some help and guidance.
For example, you can' t use Orb of the moons without showing it to LB first.
In the original version of the game U6, you could use the Orb after speaking of it with LB, but that doesnt work with current WHD version of U6. Additionally, it seems that " the copy protection removed" is made by cutting some essential parts of the LB character " speak topics".
When you talk to Nystul ( at the beginning), he doesn't speak all the advice needed, compared to the original v of U6.
So it seems the install was made in a hurry and does need some fixes and improvements.
Anyway, I personally appreciate all WHDload game installs ( and other Amiga software) a lot.

You can use Expchip option for faster machine. Extra memory will be allocated in chipmem instead of fastmem.

Having tried the ExpChip option of WHDload now,
I can confirm that it does reduce the game speed considerably;
almost too much (?!).
So, I guess it to be much a matter of taste, which is the ideal
running speed for the game.
Anyway, a Chip mem slave for Ultima6 is a good idea and I personally
would like to give it a try, too !

There are some minor graphic issues, when using the ChipRam slave (without ExpChip) on my setup;
some small "flashing" pixels on the game character and inventory item icons.
Occasionally, I noticed also some (minor) screen update problems (when the party is approaching a building, some part of the wall/doors etc. is missing for a while.
The game speed is overall quite ok.

I find now using the new "normal" slave (with NoCache and ExpChip) the best option for my setup.

Sorry folks; actually, when I use the Chipmem slave With ExpChip option, there appears some minor graphics issues; some small, black kind of flashing pixels; near the Avatar icon of the character sheet, and near some inventory item icons.
So, I'm currently playing Ultima6 WHDload with Chipmem slave and the following options: Preload, NoCache. (Using Preload is obvious; and without NoCache option, the game doesn't seem to work correctly (060 issue ?!))
With the above mentioned configuration, the graphics bug mostly disappear
(there May be some small black pixels near the Avatar icon, right after the game state is loaded, but they do disappear later (If not 060 related, could it be something with Picasso96 system ? (I'm using Picasso IV card with P96 installed)

Additionally, most of you who have played Ultima 6 more, propably know the Inventory bug, where you can bring items exceeding the character weight limit.
It would be a great idea to fix that issue too (propably this bug also appears on the other versions of Ultima6 ?!), with the WHDload slave somehow..?!
(=possible..?)
Btw, I abused that bug by picking many more items to the inventories of my party's members; and after I was doing that a good while (using bags, backpacks etc) the game suddenly hang up. I wasn't able to save or anything, I was forced to use the WHDload Quitkey to exit the game!
I think that hang up almost certainly had something to do with the Inventory bug.

Additionally, almost as long as I have been playing Ultima6 I have been disturbed by two things of the game (these are actually no "official" bugs at all!); the First is: The names of the game party characters appear physically at different height than the energy level numbers (aesthetically strange, imho ! ).
the Second one: when you travel accross Britannia, quite often there appears some brown square-shaped "pieces of ground", which I think are certainly some kind of severe graphic bug (also present on the PC version of U6) that has
unfortenately made its way through play-testing to the final version of the game! Although this bug doesn't affect the gameplay generally at all (?!), in my opinion, it is Very annoying and disturbing and so i think it would be a great idea to try to fix that major "bug" somehow !?

Very frustrating bug appeared after a few hours of playing;
all the inventories of the characters became empty after saving the game.
I made the game saving soon after entering the cellar / dungeons located below the Cyclops' castle / house, which is located between the mountains south of Minoc.
I was playing the WHDload versipn with the Chipmem slave ( Preload, NoCache).
It would be important to know, if this inventories empty bug also appears on the originally installed game ?! According to Ultima Wiki, the Amiga version does indeed have an inventory bug, where the items are duplicated sometimes, when first playing the game a few hours and then saving.
Interesting and in my opinion, worth a deeper investigation.

Game can't be played with PC keyboard
Ok, you didn't mean to be interested by the project to adapt controls to CD32 joypad.
So I come with another ask because the main problem is that the game can't be played using a modern PC keyboard on an Amiga.
As you know, you can only control flips using left and right ALT keys.
The problem is that : On a PC keyboard, Windows keys replace Amiga keys. But on modern keyboards, there is only one Windows key (other one is now a function key).
To work around this problem and recover 2 separate keys that replace the two Amiga keys, the PC keyboard adapters offer a function to permanently reverse the Windows/function keys and Alt/AltGr keys. This is necessary to properly control an Amiga, if only to be able to reset using keyboard.
But then we only have one Alt key. Normally it does not matter since on Amiga the two Alt keys generally have the same function. But here, we can no longer play Pinball Magic.
If a remapping on CD32 pad is not motivating, would it be possible to offer at least on splashwindow the possibility to remap the flips on the SHIFT keys for example?
You need a modern PC keyboard and adapter on an Amiga, use the Alt/Windows keys inversion system and launch the game ;-)
Everybody using a modern PC keyboard on its CDTV/CD32/A2000/A3000/A4000... will have the problem.

When hitting the LMB to change tracks (or pressing buttons on the amp), the demo crashes. When leaving the music running it seemingly works ok, as does the first intro part.

Tried various NOMMU, NOAUTOVEC, EXPCHIP etc. option, but the crash is still present (although with NOMMU it instead crashes with an illegal instruction)

I installed the game Mean Streets on AmigaForever. I use the workbench 3.X and the A4000 machine.


It installed properly but the game is really too fast.


For example, I'm unable to enter a navigation code, when I write a number, it is written 4 times.


Does anybody managed to make this game work ? Thanks in advance for your tips.

There is not working game over and game complete animation. Always collapses to WB with this bug report:

This problem is not caused by WinUAE emulation!! (see below)
Tested in WinUAE A1200 and also A500 mode (of course with all CE, without CE, Fastest possible, JIT...), but both the same problem.
The WHDLoad game is made from these 3 (the only possible) disks:

Only one possible way how to show the issue is to wait for game over. Very simple. Push "Start single" and wait here at rotating grid to the time 03 06:12 (it means day 3, 06:12), when the game over (animation) is comming. It's very problematick on real Amigas, because there is no possibility how to speed up the time and it takes so cca 1 hour of real time.
WinUAE is without problem:

Can be JIT - ON
More compatible - OFF
Warp mode - ON

and the game over (03 06:12) is reached in cca 2 real minutes!!!

Why I am not speaking about how to show the issue in "Game complete" is understandable. I can only confirm here the issue in WHDLoad and without issue in disk version. I won this game twice (disks and also WHDLoad)

I had the same way as You, but to resolve it Yoyu can download disk.1 from image Whdownload.com/games/S/SuperMonacoGP_v1.1.lha.
After that, use attach slave from mantis.whdload.de/view.php?id=2544 with this slave v1.2 the game works perfectly... I Tried it on my A500ECS ACA500PLUS & my A1200 PAL with GVP Turbo+I
